LeSean was born in 1975, the year Civil War began in Lebanon.
The year North Vietnamese took Saigon, ending the Vietnam War. The year USA and Soviet spaceships, Apollo and Soyuz, test flights docked, the year Spanish Dictator, Franco, bites the bullet, The first condom commercial was aired, the first personal computer was introduced and Microsoft was founded. What does that all have to do with this Uber-Talent? Nothing, really…but ya boy sure loves to draw. Born and raised as a child of Hip Hop in the “Mecca” (South Bronx), he grew up copying his older brother to get attention and stuck with one of the many attempts, drawing. Through all the booty-chasing and fly-dressing as a teenager to get romance, his first love was right under his nose. Art. This love affair that cost him many-o-summer afternoons and park jams, soon blossomed into holy matrimony. Romantic crap aside, LeS’ self-taught eye for movement and kinetics has landed him comic stints with Dreamwave Productions(TMNT ANIMATED, ARKANIUM) and jobs in animation, storyboarding and character designs For MTV, Nickelodeon, highlights include Helping Pioneer the Flash animated web series Phenomenon by helping create the very popular first ever flash animated web series, www.whirlgirl.com as conceptual designer, Storyboard artist, Layouts/ Illustrator from ‘97-2000, Assistant animator on Disney’s “Lizzie McGuire show and currently, Warner Bros Animation Studios as Story Board artist on WB’s “Teen Titans” cartoon series which is going into its second season. Outside of laying foundation for animated projects and television shows, LeS has put his spare creative energy into his own projects, “BattleSeed” his first fully directed flash-animated webseries for www.othervision.com, his current www.cannonbusters.com, a creator-owned fantasy series and his upcoming Art Directed collaboration project with Rocafella Records, “Play pen” animated show, and “DRAMA KINGS” a creator-owned Hip Hop action thriller comic series. Whew! various independent comic book illustration (some printed, some never saw the light of day!) which included some cover work for ABC Studios (Rick Carallelo's "Razor / Double impact crossover" , Abc Studios' "Bad Apples Swimsuit issues" Cover work, Pinups and 8- page story for Hyperwerks entertainment's "Cozmic Kat activity book" (Image Comics). Children's accessories designer for Licensing company Pyramid Accessories who's clients include Disney, WB, Fox, MTV, NICK, LucasFilms, Cartoon Network, Arthur the Ardvark (Redrew Entire style guide). Helped Pioneer the Flash animated web series Phenom by Helping create the very popular Flash animated web series, "WhirlGirl" (The first of it's kind) as the Original artist (www.whirlgirl.com)BEFORE it was flash animated (JPEG images and scrolling text). As conceptual designer, Storyboard artist, Layouts/ Illustrator on the series for over 2 years until Showtime picked up the rights to the series (Another first in online animated series). Contract with WhirlGirl ended after the first year with Showtime where work was blown up alongside buildings throughout all major cities in America which included stickers, billboards, magazine ads which included Details, Wizard Magazine, Teen magazine, Next Generation Magazine. Denied offer to renew Showtime contract as main illustrator/storyboard artist to create own cult hit series, "Battleseed" (www.othervision.com) after positive feedback at the WAC 2000 (World Animation Celebration 2000) praise from IFLMS.com, and Filmson.com. Battleseed went on to be one of the first flash animated cartons to be blown up to 35 mm camera and shown in theatres throughout all major cities as a part of an othervision trailer which aired before 20 century fox's super success, X-MEN. Also aired with "What lies Beneath, Nutty Professor 2" in the previews sections before these box office hits. Battleseed also was one of the first flash animated series to be screened at the New York Anime Film Festival in Oct 2000. Battleseed just sealed a deal with USA NETWORKS (Interactive) to air the first chapter of Battleseed on it's popular website www.scifi.com. Continued final chapter of Showtime online's WhirlGirl series while freelancing as character designer, illustrator key frame animator, storyboard artist, cleanup artist, inbetweener for various animated studios, MTV, Nickelodeon, Tape House Toons, Curious Studios. most notably, commercial animated projects for MTV and assistant animator for Disney's "Lizzie McGuire" TV show.
